Gaming Laptop - What Should Be Inside
Category: Computers and TechnologyIt is needless to say that the gaming laptop is the biggest news in gaming circles nowadays, in net progress in the power range, the gaming laptops make pay their power by a reduced autonomy. If still a few years ago, the mobile processors were in withdrawal compared to their counterparts dedicated to desktop, the arrival of the dual-core changed the rule. The power is however in the graphic chipset which must obligatorily have its own memory to be sufficiently powerful. In this field, ATI and NVIDIA have the best offer.
For the remainder the large screens are, of course, very appreciable, the diagonals of 15 “4 are a minimum today.
When looking for a real gaming laptop, you must thus have at least :
- A dual core processor with a minimum frequency of 2Ghz(2.5Ghz would be optimum).
- 2 go of RAM(3 would be better with Vista ).
- A 7200 Sata hard disk,or two 7200 Sata in RAID.
- A 17” screen or more.
- And of course a powerful graphics board listen, the GeForce 8800M GTX embarks a G92 processor engraved in 65 Nm and having 96 stream processors, it is the equivalent of GeForce 8800 GTS of Desktop. G92 has a cadence of 500 MHz and it is associated 512 Mo of GDDR3 at 1 600 MHz with a 256 bits memory bus. It is currently the most powerful graphics board for laptop, not enough?
Add the possibility of using the 8800 GTX in SLI(two board associated to double their power).
Nowadays you have enormous choices in gaming laptops, the technical limits decrease more and more leaving only the financial limits.
