The site claims that Jason Fuller, who is supposedly an award winning entrepreneur and stock promoter/investor, will send information about which stock he is about to promote, to the members of the list. So if you are a member of the list, every week, you will receive a notification from Jason informing you that he is about to promote the stock XYZ. This way, you can get in and invest before others purchase and the stock value shoots up.

So what's the problem?
Well, there are three main issues with this:1. Jason Fuller does not exist. You need to get this. The whole sales letter is a big lie, and they admit as much even in their disclaimers. Jason Fuller is a fictional character that the staff of promostockpicks made up.
2. How are the stocks promoted? The stocks are actually promoted by asking people on 'Jason's' list. Which means, that the promotion actually happens by having the members of the list purchase the stock. Again, this is achieved via scattered emailing. This means that some members get the information before others, making sure that buying at all prices continues bringing the stock to the maximum value possible.
3. The stocks are often promoted based on the revenue generated by companies advertising with them. For example, a company that may be on the verge of bankruptcy can advertise with PromoStockPicks. This will result in the people on Jason's list purchasing the stock in this company, increasing its value by a whole lot! Once Jason and the company's share-holders (the board) dump their stock when it's at the peak value, the members of the list will be left to absorb the shock or pull out as quickly as possible. This creates something similar to a cartel leading to massive losses for those on the outside of this scam.
